Philantropic Gifts and Grants
As
an incorporated association, with endorsement for charity tax concessions and
Deductible Gift Recipient status, Karinya is in the ideal position to benefit
from philanthropic gifts and grants.
In
the past Karinya has been blessed by the support of several Philanthropic trusts
and Foundations including:
RACV
Foundation, to establish our “Circles and Squares” social skills program
for children with Autism Spectrum disorders.
Helen
Macpherson Smith Trust in providing funding for “Disability- A Journey of
Life” A support program for individuals, their families and carers coping
with the grief and loss associated with the diagnosis of disability.
Whitehorse
Council, for funding to promote Karinya’s Disability program and services.
Whitehorse
Community Chest for funding to develop and improve marketing and promotional
tools.
Lord
Mayor’s Charitable Fund, for a grant to purchase much needed office
equipment.
Sunshine
Foundation, in providing funding for the purchase of furniture necessary for
Karinya to host its own support groups, courses and seminars, reducing the
overhead costs to participants.
Flora
and Frank Leith Charitable Trust, for funds to establish a library of
resources for a Support Group established for parents and carers of
individuals with Aspergers Syndrome.
The
Jack Brockhoff Foundation for funding to provide Karinya volunteers and
staff with professional development opportunities to improve the level and
type of service to the community.
